An experimental painting workshop exploring abstraction, pattern, texture, and color both observed and invented. Working in a studio setting and looking for inspiration from art history, to natural history, to personal history; from weathered walls to paint spills to coffee stains...students will be encouraged to wallow in the wonder of non-representational painting. Throughout the week we will create a series of small compositions, as well as one large scale piece.
